Welcome to the new CASA of Oklahoma County Training Portal! This is the place to get all your detailed information on training for CASA volunteers. You may notice the training calendar on the main CASAofOKCO website has vanished, but you can find it right here! Through this portal, you will RSVP for trainings, receive training updates, and download training forms.

CASA Pre-Service Training is available for those who wish to become a CASA volunteer. Currently, Pre-Service Training is a two-part system: half of the training process is completed online the other half is done in person at the CASA of Oklahoma County office. 

At the beginning of a training session, an online classroom is open to each participant where they can devote at least three hours a week to complete work on their own. The online classroom includes message boards, individual reading, and videos. The in-person portion of training takes place once a week.

There are two sessions for Pre-Service Training left in 2021. They are: 

  • October 4th through November 10th
  • November 8th through December 13th

CASA of Oklahoma County is committed to upholding health and safety standards. The training room and common areas are cleaned before and after each training session. Spacing is limited to one person per table with the consideration of social distancing as we attempt to maximize protection from COVID-19, we are also limiting the number of participants in a session. At this time, we ask that masks are worn inside the building if you are not fully vaccinated. Masks and hand sanitizer are available for individual use during trainings.

Both in-person and virtual in-service trainings are being provided at this time. If training is required to go back to completely virtual, that information will be posted on this training portal and also provided to you via email.
